Some basic wireless settings like network name for your Netgear wifi extender device, login password for your device, wifi access password and channel settings are easily manageable for your devices. All advance devices like Netgear, Linksys and Belkin can be changed using the smart setup wizard. Steps to Change the Wireless Settings for Netgear wifi Extender Devices

If you do not get the login password for Netgear wifi extender login then you can find the password from the bottom of your device.
Now you can connect your device that is your Netgear wifi extender device to the computer system and then you can access the extender login page using http:// mywifiext.net web address.
Find the “Basic” button.
After that choose the “Wireless” option from the configuration page.
From the wireless tab, you can change SSID name and wifi access password for your device and you can then secure your device. If you are not happy with the Netgear wifi router performance then it will be good that you can change the firmware file for your device.
